Abstract

The pre-historic cultures at Giddalur and its vicinity demonstrate the evolving pattern of semi -nomadic palaeolothic, mesolithic and neolithic cultures. They are embedded in an area where river fertility was abundant. They reveal the matter of the fact that South India was the ancient most region, where the first man of the Indian sub-continent walked up right. This prehistoric tale has been traced in the Karnoolaozoic geological systemand the Cuddaphaaozoic geological system.
